COURSE CONTENT

CLASSROOM TRAINING INCLUDES:

Program orientation, state traffic laws, accident reporting and safety responsibility laws, effects of driver fatigue, "sharing the road", CDL requirements, map reading and routing, "the effects of alcohol and drug use", log book instruction, and "no zone" scenarios.

"HANDS ON" FIELD TRAINING INCLUDES:

Starting, stopping, turning, braking, parking, docking, hooking up/unhooking, display of emergency equipment/hazard lights, pre-trip inspection, sharing the road, safe driving practices, CDL maneuvers (straight line back, alley dock, parallel parking, etc..), and "on the road driving" with in-cab instruction.
